A note from your framer:

I love my job! I say it all the time. For me, it is the perfect balance of craftsmanship, customer service and art appreciation. My mission is to continue to grow in my craft in order to create the very best framing solutions for my customers. The art of preserving history is something I am very passionate about. Preservation materials and techniques are changing rapidly with technology. What was perhaps an acceptable treatment a few years ago, is no longer the case. Through industry education and research I am able to offer my clients the very best in materials and treatment to ensure their pieces are safe.

Every item that walks through my door has a story, I can’t wait to hear yours!

Very Kindly,

Janine Buechner, MCPF

Professional Picture Framers Association International Framing Competition

The PPFA International Framing Competition is one of the most prestigious in the framing industry.

In 2018 Janine was awarded first place for the International Open competition. Janine placed third in 2019 for both International Print and Open competitions.

Framers are judged on their knowledge of conservation materials and techniques. There are two categories, Open and Print. All framers in the Print competition are required to frame the same item using their own artistic license and their choice of preservation materials.

The Open competition allows the framers to choose any item to submit for judging.

To win either category requires years of practice and skills in all areas of preservation and framing as well as new and innovative ideas.

Both of these competitions bring the top framers from around the world together.

After winning numerous awards Janine has been asked to sit as a judge for the competition. This is a high honor and shows the level of respect Janine is shown by her peers in the industry.
